The developers intend for you to complete armored armadillos stage 5 times instead of dying. I remember reading egm or nintendo power and their strategy was that. Collect the power pellet and either complete the stage or exit, bet someone discovered you can kill yourself and make things faster and easier.

I think you have to have all the powers, upgrades, heart tanks, and subtanks before grabbing hadouken.
